Chasm was founded by Martyn King in 2017 borne out of his frustration at seeing organisations waste money either on non-sustainable operational improvement projects or ‘sheep dip’ training and development programmes, neither of which fix the underlying problems. When you consider what it takes to run an effective factory and the conflicts between departments it becomes clear why it is so difficult to fix things in house and why “bringing in Chasm” makes so much sense.

I first worked with Martyn as part of a factory turnaround in 2015. As part of that project we took a site from £3m loss to £5m benefit in a 9 month period.

What impressed me with Martyn is the ability to understand financial, strategic, operational & people elements, with a sixth sense for unpicking problems and putting them back together.

Add to this his ability to understand people, get into the weeds of daily factory life and deliver outstanding results all whilst operating ‘business as usual’.
